About the role
The Health & Safety Coordinator will support the implementation and maintenance of safety programs across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in administering and maintaining safety programs to meet current health and safety legislation.
- Support ISO certification requirements and attend JHSC meetings, recording minutes.
- Coordinate employee training, safety orientations, and maintain related documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, PPE audits, safety audits and initiate corrective actions.
- Prepare and file safety reports, toolbox talks, and other documentation.
- Maintain and procure safety equipment and supplies.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in an OHS‑related discipline.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Effective knowledge of applicable safety legislation.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication for reports and presentations.
