Health & Safety and WSIB Coordinator – Construction (Data‑Centric, Admin‑Focused)

About the role

This position supports the construction division by managing health & safety and WSIB compliance through detailed administrative work, data tracking, and documentation. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will act as a bridge between HR and safety functions, ensuring records are accurate and audit‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the administrative side of the health & safety and WSIB program, maintaining OHSA and COR‑aligned documentation.
• Maintain training logs, certification matrices, and other safety records in an audit‑ready state.
• Coordinate WSIB claims and return‑to‑work processes, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Plan and track onboarding and mandatory safety training, including recertifications and toolbox talks.
• Analyze incident and WSIB data to identify trends and recommend procedural updates.
• Build and maintain Excel trackers and reports that give leaders clear visibility of safety performance.
• Communicate timely information and reminders to operations and office teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of combined experience in HR, health & safety, and WSIB administration within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of OHSA regulations and COR requirements on construction sites.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to offices and job sites as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development through courses, certifications, or projects.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
• Experience with cloud‑based HR or safety management systems.
