Head Shipper – Logistics Operations Manager

About the role

Belvent Manufacturing is seeking a proactive Head Shipper to lead its shipping and receiving operations in Edmonton. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, supervising a small team, and ensuring smooth, efficient movement of materials and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prioritize operational plans for shipping and receiving.
• Oversee day‑to‑day logistics, including material requisition, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Prepare and submit regular performance and operational reports.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate a team of 3‑4 shippers and receivers.
• Maintain equipment, arrange repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Handle heavy loads up to 23 kg and work under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• College‑level certificate or diploma (1‑2 years).
• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
• First Aid Certificate and Forklift Operator Certification.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
