Head of User Acquisition

About the role

We’re looking for a strategic, data‑driven Head of User Acquisition to own how Phoenix acquires customers across paid and organic channels. Paid media will be the core of this role – you’ll set strategy, assist in execution, own the budget, and build the team driving performance across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Reddit and other platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute paid media strategy across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and other performance channels.
• Own the full acquisition funnel, setting targets for CAC, ROAS and LTV.
• Plan and pace budgets, making trade‑off decisions to maximize growth.
• Lead SEO/AEO initiatives to ensure discoverability on traditional and AI‑driven search.
• Identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships (affiliate, co‑marketing, referral).
• Build and mentor a cross‑functional acquisition team and define analytics frameworks.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of performance or growth marketing experience with deep hands‑on paid media expertise.
• Proven track record scaling paid acquisition and improving CAC, ROAS and revenue.
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with budgeting and cross‑channel investment decisions.
• Experience leading and developing junior marketers in a fast‑growth environment.
• Passion for improving Canadian healthcare and a data‑driven decision‑making style.
