Head of Sales – Canada

About the role

BYD, a global leader in electric vehicles and clean energy, is expanding its presence in Canada. We are looking for a senior commercial leader to drive market entry, build a high‑performing dealer network, and accelerate sales growth for BYD Passenger Vehicles across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a nationwide sales strategy aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to shape go‑to‑market plans.
• Establish, grow, and manage a dealer network, fostering strong relationships with partners and key accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations, dealer agreements, and business development initiatives.
• Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and market trends; prepare forecasts and management reports.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Planning, Supply Chain, Aftersales, and Operations to support market expansion, vehicle allocation, and brand initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience with a focus on market entry and dealer network development.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to drive strategic growth.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with dealers, distributors, fleet customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical capability to track performance, assess risks, and recommend actions.
• Experience working cross‑functionally to coordinate inventory, logistics, and marketing efforts.
