Grocery Manager

About the role

Join No Frills as a Grocery Manager in Warman, SK, and lead a key department within a busy retail environment. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the grocery department.
• Achieve or exceed sales and profitability targets.
• Train and develop associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, pricing, and attractive displays.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment with other departments.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Manage departmental expenses and assist with budgeting.
• Communicate regularly with store management to align with overall store goals.
• Identify and recruit talent to strengthen the team.
• Lead, coach, and motivate staff to improve productivity and retention.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework preferred.
• Previous retail management experience, ideally in a departmental or specialty store.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
