Graphic Designer (Print Media)

About the role

Arbor Memorial is seeking a Graphic Designer to join Westlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery in Edmonton. You will create high‑quality printed materials that honor families and support the funeral home’s daily operations. This full‑time, permanent role offers the chance to develop your design expertise while contributing to a compassionate community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce funeral‑home print media such as prayer cards, register books, price lists, and other memorial documents.
• Operate and maintain the print centre, monitoring supplies and placing orders as needed.
• Scan photographs and create slideshow videos for families.
• Perform photo and video editing to ensure professional presentation.
• Manage delivery and logistics of printed items.
• Greet client families and provide courteous service when they visit the funeral home.

Required profile

• Graphic Design Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark.
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Video editing or slideshow‑making software.
• General print design knowledge.
• Familiarity with multifunctional printers.
