Grade 5 Junior Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

The Board is seeking a qualified Junior Teacher to lead a Grade 5 classroom at Our Lady of Providence School on a full‑time (1.0 FTE) basis. This position supports the Catholic learning community by delivering both academic excellence and faith formation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess the Grade 5 curriculum in accordance with Ontario standards.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and faith‑centered classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to parents and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and board initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers certification.
• Junior level qualification as defined by the Board.
• Eligibility for the A2 salary classification under the OECTA collective agreement.
• Willingness to be considered as an occasional or temporary teacher if the position remains unfilled.
