Global HR PMO Director

About the role

The Global HR Project Management Office (PMO) Director leads the strategy, execution, and governance of HR‑related programs and vendor contracts worldwide. Based in Toronto, this senior leader partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the Global HR agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the PMO vision, culture, and best‑practice framework for the Global HR function.
• Design, implement, and maintain project and portfolio delivery processes, tools, templates, and governance from initiation to closure.
• Manage the project portfolio, including prioritization, annual budgeting, and performance reporting.
• Conduct regular project and portfolio reviews with project teams and senior executives.
• Coach and develop a team of project managers, ensuring appropriate skill levels and complexity classifications.
• Lead vendor management, setting annual priorities with Global Procurement and HR, driving cost savings and contract compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; PMP designation preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in project management and PMO leadership within a global organization.
• Strategic mindset with strong financial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship‑management capabilities.
