General Manager – ITH Business Unit

About the role

Sandvik Canada is looking for a senior leader to head its ITH Business Unit in Winnipeg. The General Manager will be responsible for the full product value chain of Sandvik’s underground In‑the‑Hole drilling units, overseeing strategy, engineering, manufacturing and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction of the ITH business unit in line with global priorities.
• Lead a team of ~50 professionals across product development, engineering, manufacturing and customer support.
• Drive sustainable growth and profitability through resource allocation, investment decisions and financial management.
• Identify market opportunities and work with sales and customers to expand the product’s competitiveness.
• Own the product portfolio, steering roadmap development and ensuring technical excellence, quality and cost efficiency.
• Represent the unit to the global sales network, key customers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in industrial businesses, product lines or manufacturing operations within a global environment.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with technical credibility.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with disciplined operational execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
