General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Griffith Foods is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of its financial records. You will manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, and support audit activities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger accounting processes, including month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, prepare schedules, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Perform intercompany balance reviews and closures.
• Gather and analyze financial information from internal departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of General Ledger processes and period‑end close.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards, accruals, provisions, and intercompany accounting.
• Experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
