General Labourer - Field Operator

About the role

We are seeking an Agriculture Field Operator to join our land‑application team for the season running from April 1 to November 30. The role supports the safe and efficient transfer of biosolids onto farmland, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pumps to transfer biosolids from tanker trailers to land‑application equipment.
• Manage biosolids flow to ensure controlled, efficient transfer.
• Communicate with supervisors, drivers, and management about application status, equipment issues, and concerns.
• Perform regular maintenance on pumps, hoses, and spreading mechanisms.
• Inspect equipment and promptly address any issues to prevent breakdowns during application.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in the agriculture industry (preferred).
• Experience operating or maintaining tractors/heavy equipment (asset).
• Valid G or G2 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Safety certifications such as Working at Heights or CPR (asset).
• IT‑literate, able to record and manage data across software platforms.
• Flexible schedule; may include 12+ hour days and out‑of‑town work.
