General Internist – Community Hospital (Delta, BC)

About the role

Delta Hospital is looking for qualified General Internists to join a close‑knit team delivering comprehensive community Internal Medicine. You will enjoy a high degree of clinical autonomy while serving a diverse population of up to 150,000 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide 24‑hour on‑call coverage, including daytime rounding, ward consults, and overnight home‑call.
• Develop and lead outpatient services such as the Rapid Access Clinic, Chest Pain Clinic, and stress‑testing programs.
• Stabilize acutely ill patients and oversee critical care interventions when needed.

Required profile

• Eligibility for FRCPC registration or ABIM certification.
• Licensure eligibility with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Willingness to take full ownership of patient care and adapt practice volume to personal lifestyle.

Required skills

• Strong critical‑care and acute‑care competencies.
• Ability to manage complex inpatient consults and outpatient clinics.
