General Construction Labourer

About the role

The General Construction Labourer will work on a variety of industrial, commercial, institutional and residential projects in Edmonton. This fast‑paced, physically demanding role involves handling materials, operating equipment and supporting skilled trades on site.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials, and remove rubble and debris.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt and other building materials.
• Assist in drilling, blasting, framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, and tend or feed machines used in construction.

Required profile

• Accurate and detail‑oriented with strong manual dexterity.
• Dependable, reliable team player with a client‑focused attitude.
• Flexible, hardworking and able to handle repetitive, heavy‑load tasks (up to 45 kg).
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work in noisy, dusty outdoor environments.
