Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant, providing 24/7 on‑call coverage and overseeing admitted trauma patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide expert consultations.
• Serve as the Medical Responsible Person (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (approximately 7 days every 2 months) with both onsite daytime and home call duties.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary care network within the Fraser Health Trauma Network.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician in emergency medicine, surgery, or a related specialty.
• Willingness to work as part of a team of nine trauma physicians.
• Eligibility to practice in Canada; US‑trained physicians are accepted.
• Fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
