Full‑time Cook – Supermarket Kitchen

About the role

Seoul Mart is looking for a dedicated Cook to join its grocery store kitchen in Ottawa. You will work on‑site preparing meals for customers and supporting the overall food service operation. This permanent, full‑time role offers on‑the‑job training tailored for youth.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
• Plan menus, estimate ingredient requirements, and order supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to recipes.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
• Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment.
• Supervise kitchen helpers and ensure a smooth workflow.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to work day shifts in a fast‑paced supermarket environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety standards.
