Full‑Time Clinical Pharmacist – Community & Home Healthcare

About the role

Stafford Pharmacy & Home Healthcare is seeking a full‑time Clinical Pharmacist to join its independent community pharmacy in Alberta. The role blends patient‑focused clinical services, compounding, and collaboration with physicians and other health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to optimise drug therapy outcomes.
• Conduct health screenings, medication reviews, and develop patient care plans in line with provincial standards.
• Provide in‑pharmacy immunisation clinics, administer vaccinations and injectable medications.
• Supervise registered technicians in compounding both human and veterinary pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain accurate medication profiles, counsel patients on OTC selections, and advise on drug interactions and dosing.
• Oversee proper preparation, packaging, storage, and distribution of vaccines, serums and other pharmaceuticals.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
• Strong professionalism, excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Problem‑solving ability and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Interest in custom compounding and precepting pharmacy students.

Required skills

• Injection Certification
• Advanced Prescribing Accreditation (APA) – preferred or willingness to pursue
• Experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software – an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office® or equivalent office suites
• Knowledge of custom compounding techniques
