About the role
We are looking for friendly and attentive waitstaff to join our team at a classic 1950s diner. The role involves serving guests, handling payments and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Key responsibilities
- Present bills and accept payment via cash, credit/debit cards, travellers cheques or room billing.
- Describe menu items and daily specials, and advise customers on selections.
- Balance cash drawers and record sales accurately.
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs after service.
- Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer food and beverage questions.
- Serve food and beverages promptly.
- Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience.
Required profile
- No formal education required.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or similar setting is an asset.
- Flexible availability for evening, morning, day and weekend shifts.
