Full-time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The position is based at the 275‑bed Abbotsford Regional Hospital, a Level 3 trauma centre serving the Fraser Valley.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and act as consultant for trauma team activations and consultations.
• Serve as the most responsible physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call coverage for approximately seven days every two months, including onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician in emergency medicine, surgery, intensive care or anesthesiology with experience in trauma care.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team of nine trauma physicians.
• Fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
