Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant (Float)

About the role

Join Murphy's Pharmacies as a Full‑Time Pharmacy Assistant on a float schedule, supporting multiple locations across Prince Edward Island. You will work closely with pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate prescription processing and exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and package prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
• Enter patient and prescription data accurately into pharmacy software.
• Process refill requests and handle third‑party billing.
• Greet customers, answer basic inquiries, and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Handle cash and card transactions and assist with over‑the‑counter product questions.
• Receive, stock, and organize medications and health supplies, monitoring expiration dates and managing waste in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain patient records, manage faxes, and coordinate follow‑ups.
• Travel between Murphy's Pharmacy locations within the western area as needed.

Required profile

• Client‑focused with a high level of attention to detail, professionalism and discretion.
• Enjoys working in a team environment and providing exceptional care.
• Passionate about helping people in a community pharmacy setting.
• Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred.
