Full-time LTO Teacher for Grade 3/4

About the role

The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) teacher to provide full-time instruction for Grade 3/4 students at Holy Family Catholic School. The appointment begins on 2 September 2026 and will continue until the regular classroom teacher returns.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Ontario Grade 3/4 curriculum in alignment with Catholic education values.
• Plan, implement and assess daily lessons, ensuring progress for all learners.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and anti-racist classroom environment.
• Collaborate with school staff, support personnel and families to meet student needs.
• Adhere to board policies, reporting requirements and professional standards.

Required profile

• Certification in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Qualified to teach Primary/Junior (Article 17) in Ontario.
• Commitment to fostering equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Eligibility to work in Ontario, Canada.
