About the role
We are seeking an experienced cook to join our restaurant team in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Manage kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- Organized, reliable and a strong team player.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
