Full-Time Bookkeeper (30-44 hrs/week)

About the role

Modern Air Filtration is looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks. You will work independently, maintain clean financial records, and support the company’s growth with accurate reporting. The position offers a flexible schedule of 30 to 44 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and track vendor bills and customer invoices; reconcile supplier statements.
• Monitor receivables, support collections, and manage accounts payable.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll data preparation and ensure payroll entries match accounting records.
• Prepare monthly financial summaries, support month‑end and year‑end bookkeeping.
• Maintain an organized chart of accounts, expense tracking, and digital receipt filing.
• Support external accountant with HST filings and annual tax preparation.

Required profile

• Fluent English; basic French is a plus.
• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small‑business environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and expense allocation.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software).
• Katana MRP or comparable inventory/manufacturing system.
• Experience with e‑commerce integration tools.
• Familiarity with Canadian HST filing requirements.
