Full Stack Developer – Digital Services (Remote, Canada)

About the role

The Digital Design & Delivery Division of the Government of Alberta is looking for experienced Full Stack Developers to build and modernise citizen‑facing digital services. The role is primarily remote with occasional on‑site collaboration in Edmonton.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain modern full‑stack applications.
• Participate in discovery sessions, technical research and solution design.
• Build reusable front‑end components and back‑end services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Architects and other developers.
• Resolve functional and non‑functional defects and support production releases.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code quality and software architecture artefacts.
• Mentor team members and help modernise legacy applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Full Stack development experience in Agile environments.
• 5+ years of experience using Git or other source‑control systems.
• 3+ years of experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• 3+ years of experience with relational and non‑relational databases.
• 3+ years of experience building production applications with modern frameworks and JavaScript front‑end libraries.
