Frontend Web Developer (10+ yrs) – Hybrid (Toronto/NJ)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Web Developer to support a banking client. The role is hybrid, with four days per week on‑site in Toronto/NJ, and focuses on managing website content through a CMS while ensuring high‑quality front‑end implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update website content using CMS platforms such as AEM, Contentful or WordPress.
• Perform minor front‑end code customisations, troubleshoot styling issues and ensure seamless integration with back‑end services.
• Collaborate with development teams to translate content requirements into functional UI components.
• Apply Angular conventions, templating and component structures to support the client’s web application.
• Identify and resolve accessibility issues following WCAG guidelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum sprint cycles, using Jira for task tracking.
• Ensure precision in content publishing to avoid gaps, broken links and regressions across dual systems.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in front‑end development.
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to read, understand and modify front‑end code.
• Familiarity with Angular framework and component architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with CMS platforms (AEM, Contentful, WordPress).
• Good knowledge of semantic HTML and WCAG accessibility principles.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and using Jira.
• High attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
