Frontend Engineer - Web3 & Payments

About the role

Fozara is a cross-border payments infrastructure platform that uses stablecoins to move value while keeping local currencies at each end. Its consumer app serves over 5,000 users across Nigeria and North America, and its B2B API for wallets, onchain transfers and payouts is in private beta. The company is based at the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo, Canada, and is looking for a Frontend Engineer to build and evolve the web and mobile user experiences for payments, wallets and financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Build intuitive, reliable interfaces for payments, wallets and financial transactions using React and React Native.
• Collaborate with backend and product engineers to integrate APIs, wallet infrastructure and blockchain functionality.
• Take ownership of features from implementation through production.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, reusable components, state management and application performance.
• Experience with authentication, secure session handling and user-facing financial workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.

Required skills

• React and TypeScript for production applications.
• React Native and cross-platform mobile apps.
• Responsive, accessible and performant web interfaces.
• Web3 integration: EVM chains, Solana, wallet connectivity, transaction signing and onchain lifecycles.
• REST APIs, asynchronous operations, loading states, errors and transaction confirmations.
• Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Bonus: Privy or similar embedded wallets, account abstraction, stablecoin payments, viem/ethers.js or @solana/web3.js, fintech dashboards, design systems and Figma.
