Front Office Clerk – Part‑Time

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Front Office Clerk to join its Downtown Kelowna team on a part‑time basis. In this role you will be the first point of contact for physicians, LHSC staff and patients, ensuring smooth communication and efficient specimen handling.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone inquiries from physicians, staff and patients.
• Troubleshoot and correct order entry errors.
• Initiate patient recalls and manage specimen transportation coordination with couriers and physicians.
• Handle incoming and outgoing fax communications and maintain the LIS fax console.
• Prepare recollection requisitions, maintain logs and manage email inboxes.
• Maintain the physician register in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and run reports to ensure result transmission.
• Observe privacy policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Assist in training new team members and liaise with the courier team for daily pickups.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required).
• Minimum three years of customer‑service experience.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical terminology.
• MOA certification is an asset.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline‑driven environment.
