Front-end Developer – Web & Mobile Applications

About the role

Join Air Canada’s Digital Development team as a Front‑end Developer, creating innovative web and mobile applications for our customers. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance, cloud‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web and mobile applications using Angular, React, and React Native.
• Write clean, modular, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Package and support DevOps‑driven agile releases.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, optimize existing features, and implement new functionality.
• Collaborate with product managers, scrum masters, and other developers to refine requirements and user stories.
• Prepare documentation and status reports for software operation and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in web application development.
• Self‑driven, highly motivated, and comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a focus on delivering quality code.

Required skills

• Angular, React, React Native
• JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• RxJS, NgRx Store for state management
• REST and GraphQL APIs
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Mobile navigation libraries (e.g., React Navigation)
• Familiarity with native development tools such as Xcode and Android Studio
