About the role
Join the Food Basics team as a Front End Clerk and be the friendly face that greets customers in our Toronto store. This permanent part‑time position offers the chance to work in a dynamic retail environment while providing excellent service.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly.
- Scan items quickly and accurately, process various forms of payment and returns.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform cash drops, and balance the register at shift end.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and report any hazards.
- Support teammates with put‑aways, returns, and overall store operations.
Required profile
- Customer‑service oriented with strong communication skills.
- Retail experience considered an asset.
- High attention to detail and basic numeracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
