Freight Forwarding Logistician

About the role

The Freight Forwarding Logistician supports the Freight Manager by handling international ocean import cargo transactions and managing client bookings. This position serves as a primary contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and reliable service across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review international ocean import cargo transactions.
• Manage bookings for a portfolio of clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing timely assistance.
• Assist in planning and organizing operational logistics across supply‑chain departments.
• Coordinate with freight coordinators to ensure seamless operations across facilities.
• Monitor shipment activity and update freight status information.
• Prepare and submit freight reports as required.
• Maintain freight documentation, records, and logs.
• Update worksheets and specifications related to freight operations and shipment rates.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of operations experience in a freight forwarding environment.
• Minimum 4 years of customer service experience.
• College diploma in Supply Chain Management or International Transportation and Customs.
• Experience with CargoWise One or similar systems is an asset.

Required skills

• CargoWise One (or comparable freight management system)
