Freelance Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

Datastarter, an Analytics‑as‑a‑Service provider, is seeking a Freelance Sales Development Representative to drive outbound prospecting for web and media agencies in North America. You will act as the lead‑generation partner, owning the entire prospecting function and helping to book discovery calls with qualified agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify web and media agencies (10‑50 employees) in Canada and the United States that lack an in‑house analytics team.
• Execute high‑volume outbound cold‑email and cold‑call campaigns using provided scripts and messaging guidance.
• Book qualified discovery calls and hand off leads with full context to the internal sales team.
• Produce weekly reports detailing outreach activity, response rates, and booked meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cold outreach (email and phone) with measurable results (reply rates, meetings booked).
• Familiarity with prospecting tools and CRM systems.
• Ability to follow a detailed offer document, handle objections, and stay aligned with a clear Ideal Customer Profile.
• Bonus: background in SaaS, digital marketing, or agency services.
