About the role
Join Megastruct Developments Ltd as a Framing Carpenter, responsible for constructing and renovating structural wood components on a variety of projects.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare layout plans that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel to construct foundations, floor beams, sub‑flooring, walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residential and industrial wooden structures such as mills, mines, hospitals and plants.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of hands‑on experience as a framing carpenter.
Required skills
- Proficiency with measuring tools.
- Knowledge of building codes.
- Woodworking and ability to work with wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
