Fourth Engineer – Rotational Position on MV Isabelle X

About the role

The Fourth Engineer will join the engineering team aboard MV Isabelle X, operating on a rotational schedule from Squamish, BC. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will help ensure the vessel’s technical systems run safely and efficiently, supporting crew comfort and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain critical shipboard systems including power generation, propulsion, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
• Assist in developing and executing a preventive maintenance program to maximise system reliability.
• Diagnose and repair technical issues promptly, coordinating with onboard personnel to minimise service disruption.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and classification society standards.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports for maintenance activities, inspections, and spare‑part inventories.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, technicians, electricians, and crew members to support seamless operations.

Required profile

• Relevant marine engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a rotational schedule for up to three years, with potential extension.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
