Forward Deployed Technical Consultant – Databricks

About the role

The Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs) are seeking a Forward Deployed Technical Consultant with deep expertise in building and productionizing GenAI solutions on the Databricks Intelligence Platform. You will work directly with clients, translating complex business challenges into scalable AI agents and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design enterprise‑ready AI agents that incorporate retrieval, orchestration, policy‑based routing, tool invocation, evaluation harnesses, and lifecycle observability.
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and multi‑agent systems on Databricks using Mosaic AI, Vector Search, Model Serving, and MLflow.
• Develop data and feature foundations on the Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog) to feed production AI applications.
• Tailor and deploy agentic applications across finance, healthcare, retail, and other industries.
• Lead design workshops, proofs of concept, and code‑with sessions with client stakeholders.
• Define and track metrics to measure performance, reliability, and security of deployed solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience building GenAI solutions and productionizing AI applications on Databricks.
• Strong customer‑facing skills, able to act as both technologist and trusted advisor.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver robust, secure AI workflows in complex enterprise environments.
