Food Services Manager – Calgary

About the role

The Food Services Manager will oversee daily operations of our restaurant in Calgary, ensuring profitability, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards. This role combines budgeting, staff management, and supplier negotiations to deliver an excellent dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and adjust the restaurant budget to maintain and increase profits.
• Develop cost estimates for food, ingredients, alcohol, and supplies.
• Modify food preparation methods and menu pricing based on budget constraints.
• Monitor revenues and control labour costs.
• Plan and organize daily operational activities.
• Recruit, train, and conduct performance reviews for staff.
• Maintain inventory and ensure accurate costing of products and services.
• Enforce health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Participate in marketing planning and implementation.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP, or other non‑university diploma (1‑2 year program).
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in food service or restaurant management.
