Food Services Assistant – Evening Shift (Part‑time)

About the role

Carewest is seeking a friendly and reliable Food Services Assistant to join the evening team at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre. This part‑time, regular position supports the delivery of safe, sanitary and pleasant dining experiences for residents, clients, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and serve meals according to established standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide courteous customer service to clients, visitors and colleagues.
• Assist with set‑up and break‑down of dining spaces for meals and special events.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the Food Services Manager.

Required profile

• Graduation from Grade 12 or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in food services is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under general supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
