Food Service Supervisor (Shift Manager)

About the role

A&W in Kitimat is looking for a full‑time Food Service Supervisor (Shift Manager) to lead front‑line staff during assigned shifts. You will ensure smooth restaurant operations, maintain food quality and safety, and deliver a consistent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant, manage cash float and safe access.
• Supervise, schedule and coordinate staff activities, ensuring proper station coverage and break management.
• Monitor food preparation, speed of service, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Handle operational issues, resolve customer concerns, and enforce company policies.
• Maintain sanitation, hygiene and safe food‑handling protocols.
• Perform daily accounting tasks, inventory counts, ordering support and waste monitoring.
• Coach, train and onboard new employees, addressing performance matters as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in food preparation or restaurant service.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Availability to work 32‑40 hours per week on a rotating shift schedule.
