Food Service Supervisor

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor leads a team in a fast‑paced restaurant environment, ensuring food quality, safety, and excellent customer service. This role involves coordinating staff activities, managing inventory, and handling customer concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of 5‑10 staff members who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Establish work schedules and manage shift coverage.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a food‑service supervisory role.
• Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to work in a noisy, hot, fast‑paced environment.
• Bondable, reliable and possesses own transportation.
