Food Service Supervisor

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations at a restaurant, ensuring that food preparation, service, and staff performance meet quality and safety standards. This role coordinates a team of food service attendants and preparers while managing inventory, budgeting, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and adjust work schedules to meet service demands.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation.
• Maintain quality control standards for food and service.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
• Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste.
• Oversee tray assembly and food‑service counter operations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in a food‑service or restaurant environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting with tight deadlines.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and lift as needed.
