Food Counter Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Food Counter Attendant to join our team in a rural restaurant setting. The role involves preparing, plating and serving simple food items, maintaining a clean dining area and supporting kitchen operations throughout various shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Operate dishwashers, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, carts and waste disposal units.
• Prepare, heat, portion, wrap and package take‑out food, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
• Stock refrigerators, salad bars and replenish condiments at tables.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and cupboards.
• Handle kitchen garbage, sweep, mop and polish floors, and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to peel, slice, trim and wash vegetables, fruit and other foodstuffs.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service or a similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment, standing for long periods and handling loads up to 23 kg.
• Client‑focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills and reliability.

Required skills

• Experience with a conventional oven.
• Proficiency using an electronic cash register.
• Ability to operate a grill.
