Floor Covering Installer

About the role

SAIDOKE BROS RENOVATION LTD. is seeking a motivated Floor Covering Installer to join its Winnipeg team. The role involves preparing, installing, and repairing various floor coverings in residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• Measure, cut, and install carpeting and resilient floor coverings.
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• Prepare floors for installations and remove existing coverings and contaminants.

Required profile

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Good judgment, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months in floor covering installation.
• Availability for early morning, evening, day, or weekend shifts.

• Floor measurement and marking.
• Blueprint and specification reading.

• Floor repair techniques.
