Flight-Operations Systems Engineer – Relocate to Montreal

About the role

As a member of the System Engineering Department, you will define, develop and execute constellation operations, preparing, testing and verifying operational procedures. The company offers full relocation support, immigration assistance and a relocation bonus, with the possibility to work remotely during the initial immigration period before moving onsite in Montreal.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade‑off studies for design, development and testing of satellite/constellation operations procedures.
• Develop and oversee Spacecraft In‑Orbit Operations Procedures, manuals and associated training.
• Create verification & validation matrices for on‑orbit commissioning, routine and contingency operations.
• Support In‑Orbit Test (IOT), anomaly resolution and Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR).
• Operate satellite simulators and develop operational scripts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience.
• Prior experience with LEO/MEO satellite operations.
• Experience in automated satellite operations and IOT.
• Knowledge of space and ground‑segment design, flight software role, and telemetry structures.

Required skills

• Python or other scripting languages.
• AGI Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Requirements management tools such as DOORS, Windchill or Jama.
• Satellite simulator operation and script development.
• Automated operations flow design and testing.
