Flight Instructor

About the role

Join Select Aviation as a Flight Instructor and help shape the next generation of pilots. You will deliver both in‑flight and ground‑school training to student pilots, ensuring they master essential flying techniques and regulatory knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct student pilots on aircraft procedures, navigation, radio communications, and aviation regulations.
• Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight inspections, verifying weight‑and‑balance and aircraft condition.
• Coordinate flight activities with ground crews, air‑traffic control, and flight dispatchers.
• Prepare pilots for certification exams and provide additional training for licensed pilots seeking new ratings.
• Report in‑flight emergencies, malfunctions, and prepare detailed flight evaluation reports.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of flight instruction or related aviation experience.
• Excellent oral communication, organization, teamwork, and client focus.
• Reliability, sound judgement, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Commercial Pilot Licence – fixed wing
• Transport Canada Flight Instructor Rating
• Airline Pilot Transport Licence – fixed wing
• Flight Instrument Rating
• Multi‑instrument Flight Rating
• Airplane Flight Instructor Rating
• Proficiency in navigation, radio procedures, and aviation regulations
