Flight Control System Major Mod Engineering Leader

About the role

Airbus is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive major modifications of the Flight Control System for the A220 program. Based in Mirabel, near Montreal, you will work with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate closely with Airbus development groups in Bremen and Toulouse.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the major modification project for primary and secondary flight control systems on the A220.
• Ensure smooth execution of project milestones and deliverables.
• Advise domain managers, the chief engineer, and program teams on technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Airbus teams in Europe to align development efforts.
• Share recommendations and best practices with the aircraft control organization.

Required profile

• Strong background in flight control system development or similar aerospace systems.
• Proven leadership experience in managing complex engineering projects.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Required skills

• Experience with flight control system architecture and modification processes.
