Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

Everguard Fire Safety is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to work on commercial, industrial, institutional and multi‑residential sites across Saskatchewan. You will install, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot fire alarm and life‑safety systems while ensuring compliance with the Saskatchewan Fire Code.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire alarm systems according to the Saskatchewan Fire Code.
• Diagnose, repair and replace faulty panels, devices and circuits.
• Install, program, commission and service fire alarm components.
• Document deficiencies and complete digital reports using company software.
• Read and interpret schematics, specifications and system drawings.
• Support and mentor junior technicians and participate in on‑call rotation with premium pay.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of fire alarm service or inspection experience.
• Electronics or Fire Protection Technology education (asset).
• CFAA certification or provincial fire alarm permits preferred.
• Manufacturer‑approved training (e.g., Siemens, Autocall, Simplex, Edwards, Notifier) is an asset.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to remote sites.
• Strong attention to detail, safe work practices and customer‑focused attitude.
