Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a growing mining organization to hire a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager in Vancouver. This highly visible, sole‑contributor position will support senior leadership and drive financial planning across multiple operating mines in Mexico during a period of rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process for operating mine sites and prepare regular forecasts.
• Develop robust financial models in MS Excel to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Deliver insightful analysis and present recommendations to executive leadership.
• Build executive‑level dashboards, KPI reporting, and financial presentation decks.
• Partner with operations leaders to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and decision‑support capabilities.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analyses related to production, costs, and operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven FP&A experience, preferably in mining, natural resources, or other operationally intensive industries.
• Advanced MS Excel skills with experience building complex financial models from the ground up.
• Strong presentation abilities to communicate financial insights to executives and non‑financial stakeholders.
• Experience creating dashboards and executive reporting packages.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel frequently to operating mine sites in Mexico.
