Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will support Coty’s Finance team in driving business performance through budgeting, forecasting, and insightful analysis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner with commercial, operations and functional teams across Montreal or Toronto to provide data‑driven recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long‑range planning processes.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year.
• Analyze revenue, costs, margins and operating expenses to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and business planning.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand performance drivers and translate findings into management presentations and dashboards.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and special projects as required.
• Ensure data accuracy through reconciliations and validation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance or financial analysis.
• Progress toward a professional designation (CPA, CFA or MBA) is an asset.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including financial modeling and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Oracle or Hyperion.
