Financial Controller – Group Controller (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Group Financial Controller on a 6‑month contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. You will own the end‑to‑end finance function, handling month‑end close, consolidated reporting, cash‑flow oversight and cross‑border controls while partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close for all business units, delivering accurate consolidated management accounts and variance analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger, intercompany eliminations, chart of accounts and multi‑jurisdiction reconciliations.
• Own weekly cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital monitoring, FX exposure management and banking relationships.
• Design and enforce robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with tax, VAT, transfer pricing and payroll obligations across all jurisdictions.
• Manage external auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel during audits and compliance activities.
• Oversee the finance technology stack, driving process efficiencies and supporting integration of new products or markets.
• Develop junior finance team members and act as a trusted partner to commercial, operations and marketing leaders.
• Prepare board‑level financial packs for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• 7‑10 years of post‑qualification finance experience, including 3‑5 years in a controller or similar hands‑on role.
• Proven experience managing multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments and leading audits.
