About the role
Haleon is seeking a Finance Controller to lead the finance team for its Canadian market. The role supports the Hub Regional Financial Controller and ensures accurate, timely reporting and analysis that drives business planning and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and comment on financial results, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Apply consistent accounting policies and enforce strong financial controls across transactions.
- Provide insight on risk, growth and performance, recommending improvements and remedial actions.
- Coordinate statutory result sign‑off with the in‑market Finance Director and align activities with other business units.
- Consolidate, analyse and interpret divisional results, reviewing against historical trends and growth plans.
- Own market balance sheets, approve reconciliations and review accounting papers.
- Support external and internal audit processes, supplying required inputs and documentation.
- Lead month‑end review, operational expense reporting, variance analysis and risk register maintenance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
- Ability to manage month‑end close, audit coordination and statutory reporting.
