Finance Vice President – Health, Education & Community Services

About the role

The Finance Vice President will lead financial strategy and operations for a portfolio that includes health, education, social and community services, as well as membership organisations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure fiscal discipline while supporting the mission‑driven goals of each sector.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organisational policies and programmes.
• Coordinate activities across regions, divisions or departments to achieve strategic objectives.
• Establish organisational objectives and approve related policies and programmes.
• Represent the organisation in negotiations and official functions, or delegate representatives as needed.
• Select and empower middle managers, directors and executive staff, delegating authority and creating optimal working conditions.
• Develop and oversee risk‑management plans, evaluating financial risk on an ongoing basis.
• Supervise a team of 5‑10 professionals, ensuring performance and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in health, education or community‑service environments.
• Experience managing budgets of $1.5M‑$4M.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including internationally.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.
